I have recently put a shocktech hammer into my cocker and it is heavier than the old hammer. Yesterday I noticed that from a 300psi fill after about 5 shots it had dropped 300psi, and from about 2500psi I played and used a hopper and 1 1/2 pots and I was at about 300psi. Now even I know this is a weeee bit gas hungry for a cocker. Now I do not have a clue about sorting out cockers as yet, I am still learning as this is my first one. So could someone please give me an 'idiots guide to making my cocker less gas hungry':D

Cheers,

Charlie.

Also have you set your LP regs? i.e. turned the reg up till the velocity starts to drop this will give you the most efficient setting for your reg. also as previously stated what weight springs are you using?

Well for barrel paint fit I have a freak and the blaze I was using was very tight in the blue 689 insert but perfect to sometimes droping half way down to sometimes falling through in the dark green 691 insert which I was using. The max flow is low pressure and the locking ring gets in the way so I cannot get it much above 350psi output. I have not touched the ergo reg from when I got it back from planet when I was using co2. Finally I believe I have a rat valve and I have no idea what spring weight I have.

Ok so that explains the first drop. Then after leaving it for a while and playing there was still the gas drop from not very much firing. Any ideas on this problem?
