how do you liquid fill a co2 bottle?

how do you liquid fill a co2 bottle?

my m8 has a refill station and has found out how much in weight he has to fill a 20oz bottle with co2 but when he tries to fill it from his bottle the preasures equalise and no liquid goes into the bottle.
there is enough gas in the bootle to play but we don't know how many shots we should get out of a standard 20oz bottle?

Firstly in order to get any liquid into your 20oz you need to be using a bulk CO2 tank with a dip tube in it to draw liquid.

Is you are using the right equipment, then the problem is probably not chilling the bottle properly... Because CO2 is naturally a gas at air temperature, if the bottle is not cold then as soon as the liquid hits the bottle it will expand into its gas state and no more liquid will fit in the bottle.

The way round this is to put a little CO2 into the bottle then release that co2 so that the bottle cools... Once the tank is cool, you can fill it to the appropriate weight.

That said the best thing to do is to get someone experienced at your local site to teach you first hand,

What is the weight you have to fill a 20oz bottle to!
Zero your scales with the empty bottle on it and then fill to 20 oz
or if you can't zero the scales add 20oz to the weight of the tank.
