If you can beg a loan from someone I'd try before you buy. They're an aquired taste.
Last week I played with my warp for half a day - pros and cons as I seem em are:
Pros
-----
Very consistent feed, if you're having problems with chopping due to feeding, it'll probably eliminate them.
No hopper sticking out to get shot.
No need to swap hands.
Cons
------
Expensive
Heavy
Something else to go wrong
Can't swap hands or lend marker to someone who shoots with the other hand.
I found the added weight really noticeable and although you can turn the marker on its side to shoot out of the off-side of a bunker, I actually prefer swapping hands to do it. Without the warp my gun never chops anyway (Emag with level 10), even when I'm hosing it, so I don't get any benefit there.
While I didn't have any problems with the warp itself, I did stupidly dump a pot of paint containing a broken ball into my hopper - didn't notice until my paint started winging all over the show.....by which time my hopper, warp, warp hose, barrel were all coated in paint. Unhooked it and ran with my revvy for the rest of the day (although in the end it only took me about 5 mins to strip and clean the warp).
That said, I'll be running with warp at the next tournament I play, just because I like the lack of a hopper target.
