first take the reg out of the mount
then look into the mount, should be held on with an allen key nut i think, just unscrew it, prob will be loctited in so may need a fair amount of force....dont forget to clean the thread b you refit...if you get stuck phone or email planet

almost correct apart from its NOT a allen bolt. you will need a special tool to undo the bolt.

also its unlikely to be loctited

In fact the special tool is a 1/4 inch 12-point socket. Fit it on a rachet and away you go. Make sure it isn't a 6-point socket, that will only frustrate.

If and only if it is a post 2000 cocker body, you can.

Pre-2k cocker bodies are squared off around the asa and need a different type off asa. You had mentioned it was an older style...

You can tell by checking on whether the front block bolt (also known as a banjo bolt) is large (post 2k) or small (pre 2k).

I guess you can look at whether the bottom of the receiver body is squared off by the asa or if it is sort of curved at the edges. www.4freeflow.com has good pictures of both kinds of banjo bolts I think.
