thanks for the advice, i know infernos are pretty rock solid but the infernos i used at a field recently couldn`t have shot much more than 50 feet.
can i ask what sort of inferno you use and what upgrades have you done ?

dude check the spring inside where the velocity adjuster is at the back take it out and see what condition its in
it might be worth you replacing it also have a look at the bolt take it out and give it a wipe down check for no major dints in it.

I have a Heat with a few mods:
14" J&J Pro 1 barrel
Belsales/Arrow Precision venturi bolt
Warped Sports drop forward with on/off
That's about it, at least for the functional stuff:)
Did Steve's tip help(the velocity)? If not get back with us.

i've yet to take steve's advice but when i do i`ll let you know. i have to ask, how does your marker compare when it comes to distance and accuracy ? thanks
The barrel I use fits RP Marbellizer perfectly. I feel it is just as precise as my cocker, just a little harder on paint. For strings of shots the cocker is better, because it has less kick. But for a single well-placed shot, i love them equally. As far as distance, I usually never find myself in a situation where I need a far-shooting marker. I'm usually the person that goes too far up, without the rest of the team, and gets hit first. But you better believe I'm taking someone with me.;)
