How do i find out what gen a MINI is?

Hi guys. As above, need to find out what gen my MINI is. While I'm 75% sure its a 2nd gen, i want to know for sure so that it may help my MINI sell. I don't have any paper work other than the users manual.

There is no generations of minis. KEE have made loads of little adjustments since its release and so by that reckoning we would be on the gen 12 mini or something like that.
