how do i convert a pmi hp to a lp

The bottle will have to be degassed and the 2 grub screws on the reg taken off, with a bit of force it should come loose. Does need a bit of a kicking. Then there should be a spring stack, you'll have to take out roughly 2 shims to make it lp? I should think the HP has 12 and the LP has 10. Atleast I think was done to one of my old bottles! Talk to Tom Allen, he did mine.

the o/p of a pmi seems a tad too high for the DM5 and basically you can use a LP for everything - incase a arsenal angel should drop my way at somepoint in the future .

yeh bud the hp works no problem on my Ego

and having checke the spring stack on the PMI there is only ten washers in it ?

anyone any ideas?

Luke is more or less right, but these regs can give you different readings, so it's best to check the output on a gauge before putting it into your precious marker.
The idea is to make the stack smaller, i always start with the spacing washers under the spring stack, and check the pressure as i go.

A DM5 should run perfectly with an input of upto 850psi Have you checked out all the seals in the Hyper reg?
