Thought id just start this tread as i my self have just started paint balling in the last month or so ..

I went down to a rec day at out local point balnk and absoltly enjoyed my self all day. Never have i had such a adralin rush since i left the army. My self and 4 other frends went down and were all hooked after beeing only once...

I got so hooked i decded to be traind up as a marshal and i know work there on weekends when needed.

Got my first training day there this sunday and were off to King of the hill on the 18th next month ...

Allso in such a small space of time got my self a JT excelator 3.5 wich is now a 5 due to upgrades :) and a air system with a bulldog 2 pre set valve and a electric hopper.

i can say one thing about this sport being rec or torne - IT ROCKS.

the only problem with paintballing in the UK its very expensive and if the balls were much cheeper more people may think about doing it more oftern ... Allso some of the markers are well over priced and is some of the masks ...

but hell im still enjoing it even when i marshal i get a slight buzz from just whaching other players and lerning from there mistakes :).

When i started paintball, did more or less the same as you. Played one afternoon and then spent £800 on a new mag and all the gear, and haven't looked back since.

Guns have come and gone but that was 10 years ago, using an angel lcd now but my mag still works, not a patch on the angel though.

You can't do much about prices, i suppose if there was no profit for the businesses then they wouldn't be there.

Been playing for three years, got serious around 2000-2001.

Bought a Spyder and upgraded it in a couple of months.

Bought a Impulse 2k2 in July last year, upgraded it to the max in 3-4 months.

Bought a Angel ir3 C&C with 45ci AIR April this year and hoping to have many more happy days ballin this year :D.

Started playing rental at Adrenalin Games - Devon (one of few sites with sup 'air open to rental players) then small reccy tournaments at Warped Sports, Wolverhampton. Played a few events down NPF - Bassett's Pole, then back to Warped where i prefer to be. Doing Warped big games, and organising/advertising there new events and projects with the great Jim Frensham (preds) and Parksey, both great guys. :D

Simple As! :)

did my first training day last sunday - well what a diffrence between rec ball and tornie play.

played against some fine players i think i noticed that if i stuck my head out more than once in the same place i was taken out with out problems allso noticed more about ppls bums sticking out the end of places. my commnictaions bettewen my self and my frend was good but need more practice... allso started to lern how o fire left handed and right handed. allso how to create a low profile while walking left handed and right handed.

Finding it quite diffcult holdeing the marker since im ex arme and used to the butt being in the sholders and haveing to mount the air tank in diffrent possitions.

wendy and dave the ppl who are teaching us are dam fine and point out all our mistakes with out being bias. Its giveing my self and my frend even more buzz to play better and improve on our mistakes. Hope one day to be up there in a B team creating havoc upon the fields ;).

seriously though the adralin rush is a buzz and has got my self and frend well hooked - just the cost holding us back i think.
