ive been to london in 91 for the first time. as a tourist, of course i took a visit at harrods. i thought id have to buy something at harrods to tell the folks at home. but i was 15 and money wasnt the most so i ended up in the magazine and newspaper-shop. i saw a mag where a guy in camo, holding some kinda gun to his chest, stood at a tree. i thought: wow, so this is about this gotcha-game youve heard of and bought it. it was the PGI-issue bout the 91 mayhem-masters(preds won, anyone remembers*g*?). ive read this mag about a thousand times i think...and still like to take it up again sometimes. in germany you are not allowed to play under 18, so it took some years and i mostly forgot about it, but when i turned 23 some guy sold me his old pump-gun and i went out for my first game. i knew some guy that knew some guy who was playing already(this guy is now the millenium-series rules commissioner, by the way) and he took me along. i was still using the small co2 capsules and had a 40 round hopper*g*. when it was game on for my first time, i ran along some other guys through some forest and when someone started shooting at me i threw myself on my chest and laid on the ground for about 30 seconds.then something hitted me hard on my back and i raised my hand and went off. i felt lucky like never before, i felt i had found something i was born to do...a year later i played my first tourney at an indoor speedball-field. i loved it. from there on i started my own team, which i left this year, and
we started playing. thats how i started.

Kidzero...

... that sure is one hell of a complicated story! You got into paintball by picking up a copy of PGI, thats certainly different! :)

Myself I got started about 7 months ago when my mate (now my captain) Twisty took a few mates to play at a local site (Ground Control nr Littlehampton) where I'm now on the site team... I was hooked after 10 seconds!

I had been interested in Paintball since seeing a pullout section about it in a magazine about 'military' stuff (cant remember what it was called, any help people?). This pull out went on to become PGI (as we no it now) after about 4 months. This is about 1986/87.

Trouble was I was only 16 and still at college so did nothing about playing. After travelling the Far East in 1992, I return home in May to be told by my friends that we are playing in October.

My first day was at The Wargame Company in St. Albans, arranged by my friends brother-in-law, one of their marshalls. After our first game, my team really got the hang of it, resulting in me managing to grab the flag and achieve a clean hang in only my second game ever. I'm hooked!!:D

Our day was also being covered by PGI for their review of sites section. The reviewer played with us in the afternoon using his Autococker, we were all amazed, as we only had basic pumps (cant remember the model). Needless to say he annilhated teams on his own! I was actually pictured in the final article, still got 2 copies, but because of the mask only I know its me

After this the next stage was buying a set of goggles, Vents, because JTs were a bit foggy then. And the expense and love(or addiction) of this sport has continued!:)

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Started working for a leisure copany called XL Leisure when I was 18, marshalling "Rental" metro stock car racing. Had a massive laugh doing that and ended up in charge. A while later the race track was turned back into a speedway track ( cue dirty cinders, no more tarmac, no more stock cars!!! :( )

I was then offered a chance to go and work at the companies major money spinner, Elimination Paintball. Needed the money as I was a student then so took the job.

Started out thinking paintball was a stupid game.
Then I played a day at our other site in Hampshire.....bad idea!!

The addiction and ballers overdraft was born and Amsterdam will be my second Millenium, can't wait!!!

ive beeninterested in it ever since my dad shot cattle with em. not really i played at my bros party then had my own it got more popular and now im hooked. Apparantly that cattle thing is true. Instead of burning imprints on them so you know who they are you get to shoot the poor cows with paint.
