I was just wondering how cold it has to be outside before the paintball maker starts messing up. I know last year when it was 'cold' out the balls broke in the barrel(sorta gave that cool shotgun effect though). Also my mask fogged up constantly making the whole experience unenjoyable.

Btw I have a piranna G2 bottomline and im using C02

So if you could give me a heads up on the apporximate temp that is the threshold to playing that would be really good

temp

Cold usually gives less ball breaks, warmth makes everything softer and runnier meaning they break easier. Was probably poor quality paint that caused the breaking.
Anyway, you won't really get a temperature low enough in the UK for the marker to physically not work. What you will get is the marker freezing up more often when you fire because the c02 is already cold and the pressure low, therefore more liquid c02. You'll also have to fill your bottle up more often because of the lower pressure.
As for the goggles steaming up, if they are halfway decent they should have an anti-fog coating on the lens. However you have to re-activate it from time to time if you haven't been using ti much, run a little hot water onto the inside of the lens and slosh it back and forward for a few seconds. If it still steams up it would probably be worth buying some anti-fog or better yet, getting a new lens/set of goggles.

So really it's up to you to determine wether it's too cold or not. I wouldn't advocate playing when it's -1 c, but who would do that anyway? :)

P.S make sure you have an anti-syphon tube in your c02 bottle to help stop all the liquid c02 being shot through your marker.

If I've made a mistake someone correct me :D

-273.something degrees Kelvin (K) is cold...about as cold as it gets....anywhere...ever

Paint gets harder, smaller and less easy to break when they get cold (put some in the freezer), tho may make the shells more brittle.

Co2 when cold, will roughly halve the number of shots from a 20oz bottle...

Air is very much less affected by temperature...ie. as its not stored as a liquid, it wont chill the bottle as it expands..
it still will reduce in output preassure as it gets colder..and increase in hotter weather.
