How can I seperate Audio from a video file?

I have a Google video file, that I want to edit teh audio from and save it as a WAV...anyone know how?

The file plays with Google Video player and teh format is as such.

i dont know if thats possible mate ..i dont think you will be able to seperate the audio track (timeline) .I would think you would have to use an audio recorder and record the audio digitaly (in real time) then save it as a wave .

of course i coulod be completely wrong but ive use a few different types of audio software and the google file will be saved as one format as opposed to audio/video running together if you see what i mean .

Yep that's the only way that I know how to get stuff from a video, have a sound recorder that'll record the wave input and then be able to save it. I had something that came with my sound card as it's a Creative, but it's bundled software so I canny get the installer to you. There will be loads of things out there that'll do it for free. If you then want to convert the wav file to an mp3 (as wav's can be large) then use dBpoweramp which is free and utterly excellent.

just googled it mate and there seems to be a fooking pile of programs that will do it for you mate none of which i have tried but it's out there

i cant find out what file type google video uses though

skeet whats the size of the video as i can extract the audio to an mp3 for you which you can then convert to wav. Thats the beauty of macs!
