Hoppers???

Just bought myself my first electro marker, it's an ion with no special features as yet, not even furry dice!!!

I am looking within the next month to buy a hopper and have been advised to get the best i can afford, something like the new Pulse, which i do like but is nealry the price of the marker (£100) or the halo b hopper.

Was just wondering if anyone has any better hoppers they can advise me on or a second hand but i good nick, that they want to sell

buy cheap, buy twice

its the same with air and loader
get the best you can afford.
ie 1.1 fibre wrap preset and reloader / pulse
second to that, halo b
also dont skimp on face protection

The best hoppers you could go for would be either the pulse, halo b, reloader b or velocity. You'll probably be able to find a halo or reloader on the classifieds here (I've also got a velocity for sale) but not so many pulses seeing as they've just come out, but price wise the velocity is best as it's cheapest and performs just as well as the others.

If your just getting into the game, on a budget and currently got just a stock ion, I would recommend grabbing a 2nd hand halo or reloader b off the classifieds here for about £60ish and spending the rest of the £100 getting a clamping feedneck for the ion (approx £15-£20), upgraded barrel (or kit if you can afford it) and then a new trigger (CP or delrin go for approx £15ish)

Got myself the empire e-vents, I like them alot but the lenses seem very flimsy, and the seal glue dividing the lenses don't seem up to much, used my clears once and the are internally steaming!!! It may just be a lense that passed quality control

i really do hope not! i dont have e-vents my self so wouldn't know what they are like.but no lense should just slip past a quality control type thing.

an egg seems good for an Ion, as ion cant fire as much as a halo feeds, so not much point. unless u go virtue

what you dont want to do is get a half-assed hopper to start with, you will just want to upgrade it after a couple of goes with it, and buy a halo, empire, pulse or velocity. i got a quantum as my first hopper, and it was a peice of ****, then i just got a halo, and havent changed it yet.

If your on a budget try and get an egg off the classifieds for about £25 - £35. If possible try and get one with the Z-board mod, and the battery mod.

I've got one of these on my ion, and it hasn't let me down once. Ok, so it aint one of the fancy doo-hicky ones people have mentioned, but it does the job, and for not a lot of dosh either.
