Hopper vs feedneck???

Is there any need for a feedneck on guns if you use a force feed system?

In my eyes the hoppers can now "come down" low enough that the battery compartment touches the sightrail. Or am I wrong?

in therory yep,you could cut it down if you wanted to

How would you hold the hopper in place without a feedneck? Also im not sure but where would the eye be mounted?

I think the 'lowest' the force feed can go is the height on a 'no-rise' feed neck, which is about a few centimetres high. Like Munketh said you still need something for the loader to hold onto
