Hitting on the X-Treme thing Again!!!

How many of you out there in the PB community take part in other extreme sports?

Like me for instance... I was born and raised in SoCal doing all the things SoCal boys do. Surfing, Skateboarding and Snowborading oh and let's not forget BMX racing, FreeStyling and Vert Ramp riding. Never tried anything like Parachuting or Bungie Jumping yet! But I love RollerCoasters and to go FAST! How about some of you other JUNKIES out there?

I'm an out and out adrenalin junkie. I rock climb to a fairly decent standard and have competed at the UK universities championships (and hurt myself pretty badly a few times). I also used to Love moutain biking in a big way. Trouble is Paintball is expensive enough on its own, to think about spending money on my shiny bike as well as a shiny marker.

Oh yeah and I forgot Mt. Biking as well... I used to love riding down single track trails in Korea and hitting really big jumps. The I moved to the UK and sold my bike due to lack of sunshine!

i try and skateboard but just injury myself, do slam pits count? been in quite a few extreme ones. rugby is a pretty extreme sport, seen sum nasty injuries in games from that

I snowboard. I'm actually a sponsored rider. (If you want a helmet, mail me and I'll tell you how to get a discount...) Been freeriding since '86.

I used to mountain climb, but gave that up becasue it was getting dangerous. No gear, sandstone, and I fell 30 feet once. That and I moved away from the blufs.

Usd to mountain bike too. I'm getting bugged to jump in on the Heartland AIDS ride, but I don' thtink I could get the required $2500 in sponsor money.

My look at "X-treme" sports is the root of the term. "Extreme Skiing" was a term used to describe skiing sheer faces, 60 to 90 degrees in angle. Extreme Skiing defined is "You fall, you die." The frenchman who coined the term died. Extreme skiing.

Think about that when someone calls paintball "Extreme".

competitively, oh and adventure racing too.

For fun, rock climbing, winter mountaineering, some kayaking, done a bit of ice climbing and snow-boarding too...

An' living in LA...thass an xtreme sport in itself.

Skid (skiid? how dya spell that then ) a few times, cool sport and good fun but quite tame (the way i did it anyhoo, tygers extreme skiing is waaaaaay to extreme for lil old me, im too young (n beatifull ) to die)
Snowboarding is the best thing to do on a piste, especially when piste, but fncking hard to get the hang of (1 week boarding = 3 days sliding down snow covered hill on arse then 3 days fallin over at bottom of hill onto arse ) fun tho!
Done a couple of bungee jumps, as well as this reverse bungee thing which fires a cage containing me a couple of hundred feet in the air at serious speed, i mean my face n stomach just caught up with me at the top only to be left behind as you freefall for a few seconds on the way back down - that was a rush.
And i used to love mountain biking, but dont have the time anymore with 'ballin takin up every weekend
