20-22 balls per second I think is about the fasted quoted. Impulse with cricket board says 20 bps in the manual 
u obviously havent heard about the new impulse s.f quoted at 24bps. parksey at warped sports has it in stock. 150quid add on for your impy.
Yer its all very nice having a marker cable of cycling at 36 BPS but seeing as most people can only reach high teens and hoppers only mid twenties max... then its kind of pointless?
*If* you believe any of the hype then the Matrix is supposed to have the highest ***recorded*** bps for a semi-auto. 22bps.
Didn't a paintball site conduct a hopper test though (i believe it was warpig.com but i may be mistaken) and find that the max bps achievable is around 17. They also did all funny theories using loads of physics equations and complicated stuff stating that due to the weight of the paintball it couldn't theoretically fire any faster than about 20 due to the force of gravity. The marker may be able to fire up to 30 woteva, but the hopper won't keep up and certainly the player won't be that quick.
