i am new to the sport but love the rush that you get.

but i do have some questions:

as a beginner i want to get some equipment but what should i look for?

mask?
playing gear?
other accessories?

could you recommend any equipment that you would advise that i look at

have a quick search through the newbie section and im sure you will find all the info you need

when it comes to your mask try some first and see what you like. remember you will be wairing them for a while so it needs to be comfy and fits you well.

get the best quality mask you can afford and then take motocrossboy's advice and have a good look round the classifieds for whatever falls within your budget but it always comes down to personal preference so try going to your local site first and ask to try out other people's kit if you can

mask: jt proflex are a really nice mask and not expencive it is a very good mask

i do recomend u buy a mask before anything else but find a team and ask them for advice as u dont want to be buying a £500 torrny marker if ur just gona be playing in the woods.

Hi Tom, again i would just echo what the other guys have said, mask first and foremost, gotta be comfy, buy new if you can afford it, and try a couple of different ones on first if you can, find out what suits your head, then look around here in the classifieds for what you want but bear in mind budget and what you will be playing. Don't go mental on your first marker, i would stick with something easy to maintain (e.g. a tippmann if your doing woodsball) if you got more of an idea on total budget and what type of ball you will be playing it'll be easier to point you in the right direction

thanks guys for all your advice, i am planning to go into woods instead of tournament paintballing.

i have seen a H18 EROS-E package for £124.95 as it is half price, which i didnt think was bad. (http://www.store.justpaintball.co.uk/h18-erose-package.html) what is your view on this package?

i think concerning a mask that i will go with either DYE, PROTO or EMPIRE as they are good value and offer good performance compared to others. if there are any that you would recommend then please say.

whats your budget mate, and i dont advise going for the eros package.
go for:

Smart parts ion
3000psi steel tank <--- all from here 2nd hand wouldnt cost much and would be so much better than the eros package.
egg (hopper)
and any mask.

also you can pick up NXE packs for £10-£20 or so nowadays.
