HI! Any teams to join arround Nottingham or nearish??!

Hi there!

After another fruitless year of trying to get my mates to form a team and the double whammy of hitting 30, Ive given up on them and turned to the forums Plus, its going to start ghetting nice soon and I want to make the most if it!

Ive played a bit but here and there but nothing competitive which is what Im really after. Woodsball is all great but I would prefer sup air. That said, to be honest Ill take anything I can get involved with!

I can commit to training sessions and so forth, have transport but will only really buy my own gear when I know Ive got a team to play for - hey you might have sponsorship anyway for some juicy discounts

Any ideas?

buy your own kit, go to walk-ons

see what happens from there

as stokecity m siad buy your self some basic kit, eg ion, steel tank and egg or something simmilar.
then go to local walk ons, i think there are some in nottingham.
youll soon get picked up to play for a team.

Yeah thanks mate, but turning up to walkons on my tod isnt really what im looking for.

I would just never do it, plus I would really like to get involved in some of this big events like that genesis, which has a big emphasis on getting new people into the sport - things like that really interest me, and getting stuck into some training to make it all worth while.

I hear what your saying as using it like a foot in the door to pball but I know I would just end up bagging it off /because I cant get anyone else to come along...

i dont realy now what else you can do only if there is a team based in nottingham and looking for players.

erm i dont know if this will be any use, but at the last uk masters event i saw a leaflet for distruption looking for new players.
i dont know anything else about it but just keep an eye out.

Get yourself some kit and play at a few walkons, it will show any possible teams what your made of and they may approach you if they think your worth having

don't worry about going walk-ons on your own.

i went the last one on my own, and ended up sitting with topchef and his mates - all a great bunch and made me feel realy welcome.
