Hi All, Im new to the forum,

It’s been a good few years since I have played paintball. I used to play at a walk on day, before I went to university, at a Hertfordshire site called the London Paintball Company. Needless to say, when I was a student all my money got spent on booze, so I stopped playing, anyway im really keen to have a few games, to see if I still enjoy,

I live in North London and work in London, so I get the tube a lot around town (unfortunately I do not have a car). That’s why I was very keen on sites that are easily accessible; the one in Canary Wharf looks good fun and Tower Bridge ? !

I also don’t have any paintball gear any more, but I would definitely invest if I get hooked again. I would probably outlay abot £300 quid for a marker set, any good suggestions ?

Hope you guys have some useful pointers, i really looking to play monthly at a london site somewhere . . .

Cheers

Tom

Welcome back :)

There are many sites around the london area, tower bridge been one, but i haven't been to there, but here are a list of the others i have been to;

HPG Claire should be your port of call if you wanted to go to this, the closest station is tube station - dagenham east, 15min walk, very friendly bunch of guys and are always looking for new talent to take on.

Keep an eye on the 'Training' threads for notice of when D7's will be open again, there are some serious teams playing sup air here. Closest Station is Dartford train station, 25min walk, or catch a cab at £5. If you want to take your game up a notch come down here, or just come down on a sunday to watch :)

Bricket Wood, only been here twice, god vibes from here. you do need to ring up beforehand to see how many people will be turning up, don't know what the closest station name is, but its about a 10-15min walk.

The three sites that i have attached threads to I have been to, they are all relativly close to get to via public transport (as i too don't have a car) :)
No membership fee or anything like that, just pick any weekend you want to play, ring or drop an e-mail to one of the guys on a thursday/friday and ask to see if anyone will be turning up.

Personally I find the best place to buy gear is here :) Support your fellow ballers. people are trusted here, and if there not, they will be publicly humiliated and then one of the mods will do whatever they do ;)

I have seen full kits on sale here, information in consideration to how guns work can all be found from the manuals that can be downloaded from the gun manufacture websites such as http://www.dyeprecision.com/, and http://www.invertpaintball.com/ip/. Same can be said for the hoppers and other pieces of gear.

First thing i would recommed to you before you buy a gun is a mask, a good mask with a thermal lense, spend money on a good mask! don't be too tight :)

I have a full setup to sell if your intrested in buying something, the threads abit old but still relavent and the prices will have dropped.
Masks, clothing and other pb related stuff not on that thread is also for sale, pm me if your intrested.

Thanks for the swift response, it was very informative. I will definitely give the Dagenham site a go, as it’s on the tube. Thank you also for the offer of the second hand kit. Im going to construct another post for my Marker needs J
