Hey up all,
My first expierence with paintballing was such along time ago, lets just say the idear of the game was to hit them over the head with a tin of Dulux and kick them between the legs.
All the markers were pump action, every other ball broke in the breach spitting paint from the barrel. If B & Q had to design a blunderbuster to paint fences.....The closer you got to the action the less you could see, who needs anti mist when you've got ARCO's multi-perpose goggles. All this for just one weeks wages.
I'm going to give it another go, I Want a tippmann x7, anyone got any thoughts.

You are talking a long time ago then early 90's
Paintball has moved along since then, but a high end marker can still cost 2 weeks wages.
Pop down to a local site that having a walk-on day and see what they are shooting now.

To be honest it all depends on what your intentions are?
My advice would firstly be not to buy a gun at all Invest in some decent goggles and go and play a bit, then If you intend playing woodland then the X7 is an ok gun, not remarkable but good enough.
Something else to consider are the BT range of guns BT reviews (main site wouldn't work) I'm reliably informed that they use less spares than the Tippy's.
Failing that, My personal choice would be an Automag
They don't have the bling military look but are dead reliable and will outshoot a punter gun any day.
My advice has been on the assumption that you only want to play woodland as if you wanted to try Supair you'd need an electric gun and that's a whole new world of hurt.

hmm i can see sence in that..

as said x7 good for woodsball, and again as said biiggest recomendment i can make is do a few games first, spend cash on mask first off and then go for marker.

I've been to my local site today, scenario site with a bit of woodball. Booked a day next week going to give it two months then buy my own kit, thanks for the heads up. I want to play woodball and liked the look of the x7 and the possibilies for mods (not as many as the c5 though)

Well I feel a right Norman , no-one can make it this weekend but I really want to try paintballing . May end up going on my own Any thoughts?
