No it's not dodgy pics of them in compromising situations...

I'd like to suggest that you enable people to put pictures in their posts.

I understand the bandwidth issue, but that's fine don't hold them on your server, make people host them elsewhere and just use image tags to make them visible here... that shouldn't hurt bandwidth much should it?

There are lots of times when pictures paint a thousand words and would really add to this board (in my opinion )

Anyone else think it would be nice to show images rather than create hyperlinks? There's been several threads recently when it would have been nice to put a picture or two in to illustrate a point.

Good with me too. It's just one of this things on the list that we're planning on looking into but gets thrown aside when more important things come up, like reading porn. One of the issues that came up when we first looked into allowing it was inappropriate images being used. guess our mods will have to work a bit harder, but not much.
Will get back to you on this.

Yeah the inapropraite images are a concern (as with avatar images?) but then as you point out you have a vigilant set of Mods so it shouldn't be too much of a problem I hope. And the 'report this post to a mod' will help others to help the mods keep it as clean as required.
