Hey, which is the best marker ( as a marker without upgrades etc) and why, BT omega and BT4 Delta.

Accuracy, Durability, ease of maintenance and cleaning etc

I prefer the look and feel of the Omega, but i hear its not as good as the delta, and my paintball shop doesnt allow trying of the markers, ive looked online at reviews and sent a few emails to places but no one has actually given me any comparisons

thanks

your probably best getting your self down to a walk on, ask a few guys if you could have a blast of there guns to try them out. i think you will find most paintball players are quite willing to help you out and offer there opinion .

Neither if it was me, id have the gog g1. Far far better begginers 'milsim' marker in my oppinion, although costs a little more.
I had the omega as my 1st marker and it was soon replaced, same would have happened if id have baught the bt4, but i think id still own the gog g1 if id have baught that. You going to buy new or second hand? X

spongebob, im unsure what you mean by a walk on? i have a friend with a delta i tried it today, but having trouble finding someone with an omega.

Teddy, a new on. im 21 on wednesday looking to get it on saturday and head on to north vs south in may :D looks sweet. What was the omega like?

P5YCH0, i dont mind the gun being heavy i intend on having the tank on my back so that should make it a bit lighter, i hear alot about the BT4s reliability.

Thanks all

The omega was big, heavy and annoying to clean. as far as im aware an omega is basically a bt4 with a few more cosmetic bits, if i had to pick between them id go bt4 then atleast if your insane and want to make a marker bigger and heavier you can add the clobber later. Mite see you at north v south then, wen i eventualy book my ticket. X

Haha fair enough. You have to take out about 10 screws to split the two half or the marker and if i remeber right i was a little fiddly. Unless you have an apex barrel all markers fire about the same range as the feet per second that the marker fires will be limited by the field you play at, 300fps or lower. Im far from a genious on how markers work so i sure someone wil correct me if im wrong, but bt4's are a mechanical marker with no regulator, so they wouldnt be as accurate as a say a gog g1 which has a regulator. Also a bt4 are harder on paint while firing so the bolts more likely to break the ball as it fires covering the insides of the marker in paint resulting in a need to clean it. Having said all that there are alot of bt4's in the world, so that speaks for itself. X

regs dont affect accuracy only consistancy, at the end of the day all markers shoot down a honed tube so neither will be more "accurate" however the g1 will be more consistant and efficient.
