ok just messing about with fitting a spare inline reg onto my spare cocker

the reg has been used with air before (i think) and i want to use it with co2

i set it all up and was getting a leak from the small bleed hole in the side of the reg

its a wgp reg by the way

so i stipped it down and tightened up a screw thread in the bottom of the reg and the leak has stopped, now i aint getting enough pressure from the reg to hold the valve of the marker open...! whats going on?

are wgp regs set pressure...theres six washers (spacers) in the main chamber of the reg...is this normal? or has the previous owner put them there? ive never seen them in low pressure regs which seem to work in the same way as this one

philip?.....anyone?

The little bleed hole is usually for when an o-ring is damaged or if you are over pressurising the reg.

There is a way of chaging the pressure, but generally they are set to 350psi-ish. Replace the orings then undo what you did.

Also try another reg to make sure it is the reg restricting the air supply. Because changing to co2 shouldn't do anything.

the marker has always been used on co2 and is fine with my other reg.....which oring is it likely to be? the small one? just i cant see how that would cause a leak from where its leaking!

You cant see the fractures in o-rings, but the leak will still be there ;)

Change them all....also, do you have a guage telling you he pressure its kicking out?

Do you mean the large hex bolt in the bottom of the reg?

If so, and your reg is like the ergo or BM regs that's the output pressure adjuster and it's conceivable that you've closed the reg to almost zero output. Change the O-rings as suggested and back that thread out to see if you can get it to fire. If you'd closed the chamber it would have fixed the leak;)

job done tho cheers guys....anyone wanna buy a minicocker now with WORKING inline reg!
