Help !!!!!!!

Just popped back on to wish everybody a great Xmas and new year and to also beg for help from some of you computer nerdies out there.

Here's the problem, I had XP Pro running on a pc, the pc went tits up (mother board problem )and now I got that hard drive as a slave on another PC which is also running XP PRO.
Obviously I want the info from my original hard drive but it won't let me access it.
I can get to everything on that old hard drive (slave) except everything under my user name of 'Pete'.
It just keeps coming up with 'Access Denied', I have tried everything and anything to do with security settings and if I had any hair, I would be pulling it out.
I called a PC Software help line (charging £1.50 a min) only to be told, after I had been on the phone for far too long and releived of fifty quid that they don't have XP Pro so couldn't help me and I would have to go to Micrsosoft.
If he had been sitting in front of me, I would have relieved him of his front teeth and one eye ball !!!
The only reason I would have taken just one eyeball is because it's Xmas and I would have allowed some good will to filter into proceedings.

Please help an old man for Xmas (me) and make Duffitusta very happy coz then I can get on with some work

He is a baller/sponsor and can fix some problems remotely! He will talk you through a 5 minute setup, then he will sort the problem whilst you sit back and watch!!

Parksy, cheers, it finally unfolded when I ticked the box for 'Replace owner on subcontainers and objects' after clicking 'Owner' tab on 'Advanced Security settings for Local Settings' and letting it run thru all the files in that folder......Phew !!!!!!!!!!!
