Ok, Team Quest has lost a few players and now a new team will be formed from the players left. But where do other teams get their paint and shirts from (I know you said I can have your contact Andy and the shirts if we keep the Quest name) but I'm testing the water. I want to know where teams get all their gear for as little as possible, espcially paint. I'm not talking about just starting up and then asking for sponsorship for free paint and threads that would just be stupid. But where do people go to get the best prices on paint for a team.

But while I'm here if any suppliers Planet, Pheonix, Warped, Smart Parts and Just Paintball to name a few are looking to sponsor a team with potential to give us a good deal on paint and or bit's then drop me a mail.

To be honest, Rob, most teams that have a deal tend to have been established for a while or are formed by a known industry figure. I don't really know Quest, but if you already have something going for that, wouldn't it be better to stick with the name and just recruit a few replacements rather than scrap what you've got & create a new team?

As for where to go, well you've already named a few, and there's also London Paintball Supplies & Fat Bob's plus WDP for Victory paint.

Rhino Sports/Fury Sports/whatever do some very nice custom shirts - basically you give them a design, they tart it up for you & print shirts unique for your team; costs about £40 per shirt IIRC.

I know companies like Smart Parts do deals for teams that can reduce costs by a fair bit. For starters don't ask how much their playing jerseys are, ask how much for 7/8/9 jerseys for a team. Then you can get arrangements like if you buy a certain number of cases of paint you get a discount or a free case - even if it's more paint than you think you're going to use at the next tourney you can always store it & use it next time or for training.

Don't ask the suppliers to contact you - get on the phone yourself & start calling round and asking them if they can help. And don't forget to say what you can offer them in return, even if it's only having their brand used by a polite, friendly team that only wins "Most Sporting Team" trophys.
