help with my ion and air

right. when i bought my ion ages ago i was told it works on both high and low pressure bottles. so i thought oh right ill just use my low pressure angel preset on it. it worked perfectly. i used it at 2 walk ons and it was fine. then the next one i went too my ion buggereed up . so i sent it to smart parts to get it sorted. they sent it back and still didnt work. when i was pulling the trgger (at 175psi)there was a slight hissing sound coming from inside the body and i could feel air comin through the grip frame or somewhere inside the body. so i turned the pressure down to 140psi and it was working fine just obviously not at the right pressure as it was too weak. so the other week i went to the smart parts stall at campaign and was speaking to a guy in the stall and he said that ions run on high pressure air and when they tested it at the factory they would use a high pressure tank. so ive bought a maxflow for my ion and i just need a few answers.

what pressure should i set my maxflo too?
any suggestions on whats up with my gat?

i thought the ion wasnt meant to go much over 140psi?

sounds like a leak to me.
might need to open it up and check all the hose and fittings.

ion does work on both hp and lp. i run mind on hp, i dont think there is any real advantage on running it on lp,thats all.

My mate had the same problem with his, the marshals up the local site took it apart and put some sealer on all the air lines, it seemed to sort it.

ive tried both hp n lp through my ion but found it worked better at hp.
