help with halo and feedneck !!

basically, i have a new dezigns clamping feedneck for my ion. all was good until the thread in the breach threaded and now will only fit the stock..and maybe others but havnt tried yet.

all would be fine and i wouldnt care, if i had my damn halo.the feedneck is stuck on the halo neck. it is a twisty style feedneck that seperates into two parts. but it is all so tight i cannot get it off.

anyone got any tips or help please???

dunno if this will help but tie a couple elastic bands around the thread section of the feedneck and make sure they quite tight that should give a bit of grip then just use all ya strength to twist it, it might work iv used it a few times to success

ah yer cheers dude!!yer ive got like a weird rubber jar opener thing that ive been trying for ages with. even team members have tryed. i like the idea of elastic bands though. ill try wrenching it with bands on..i dnt even care about the feedneck..i just want my damn hopper!!

well if thats the case, get some mole grips round the bottom half of thefeed neck and a set on the twist but and just wrnech em off, the added leaverage(sp) of the mole grips will make it easier to turn

im not sure if im just stupid, or if its more to do with the fact im 15. butwhat are mole grips.

they are mole grips they have a screw in which can alter the size of the grip so will fit anything really, ask ya folks im pretty sure every dad has some!!! or just use some pliers

nah no worries mate.
awsome done now!! in the shed and where my dad ahs all his weird and wonderful tools andfreaky looking machines, there was a clamp. bent the feedneck..but hay thats only 25 quid. the hoppers worth alot more so at least ive got it now.
