i am tryin to remove the front reg from a cocker. the lower half unscrew's from the top half of the reg no problem but the top half that screws into the cocker foregrip position is solid. tried a constrictor etc and still wont budge.
apart from drilling to holes through the reg to use a bar on it anyone got any tips??

Ok, sounds like the stock WGP inline if it`s come apart in 2 pieces, it should theoretically come unscrewed as easy as the bottom part......sounds like its cross threaded or been loctited in :(

The ergo reg has two parts to it too. The main bit goes almost all the way to the asa part but the main bit screws into a small section that then screws into the marker. The only part of the top section that you can see is about 1 or 2 millimeters at the top.

Anyway.... I think the best suggestion would be to use the hot water like enid mentioned.

yeah try to warm it up, put it in the airing cupbourd for a day, get it all nice and toasty should help ease it, then get a strap wrench on it, if that dont work get the biggest bloke you know to have a go!

I've got exactly the same problem with my ergo reg, not bothered about it at the mo, cos I like shiny things, but I reckon for when the time comes to sort it out and get a shinier thing, a couple of hours in the freezer to shrink the whole lot slightly, then some boiling water over the FRM should be slightly more successful than just hot water over the FRM.
