Help with dye OOPS please

ok, I have 2 dye on/off's, one with purge and one without. I want to swap the purge into the other one (does that make sense?).

Please can you tell me if this can be done and how?

I think you will find that teh Purge one has two small holes underneath, rather than just the one at the bottle end (for venting) thats how it looks on my planet OOPS on my ego.

So could require teh drilling of a small hole maybe???

ive never seen the internals of them but i expect that they wont be interchangable....the on/off probably wont have a purge vent (hole) and the way the interals work will be probably very different and attach to the body in a different way.

Thanks guys. I probably haven't explained it properly though.. I can't see any extra holes on the on/off, it has a big nut/screw/disc of some sort right in the middle, the same size and in the same place as the purge knob, only it has a recess for an alan key and looks like it will come out easily.

The Purge one must come apart (for instance if I wanted it anno'd) but I can't get into it to unscrew it. I suggested plyers on the inside nut but Lump said no, lol.

Is there someone who does anno jobs that would know how to get it off? Then I'll be able to see if it fits the other one? Thank you

It cannot be done.

If you look inside the Standard Airport you will see that it has a fixed pin milled into the body. i.e its all one piece. It has 3 plugs, 1 on each side and one at the front but that is so you can chosse where your hosing goes.

The On/Off is built differently. If you look into the on/off you will see a big nut with the pin on it.

*EDIT* If you want to remove the on/off you will need a small socket to fit the nut on the inside. Just turn anticlockwise and it will uncrew from the knob at the front.
