aint it all to do with "shims" im sure you can change it but i think it would be easier to get a low pressure regulator for your bottle(the bit that screws in the gun)

either, sell it depending if you can get your money back if its new? or try trade with somone.

but what ever you do dont touch the reg as you will gas it up and BANG! so give tom allen a PM about changeing it to LP

or do as mark said and buy a LP/adjustable reg for it

It is of no consequence.

You can use a high pressure reg on a low pressure gun. The gun regulates the internal marker pressure, not the air system.

i use an ego with a high pressure system and it shoots like a dream.

You were lucky you did not hurt yourself !!!!!!!!!!!

HP or LP in the wrong hands is gonna HURT.

Read the manual.................................make sure there is NO air pressure in your gat before you do anything with it !

thats dependant on the guns Inline reg
ego regs are good so can deal with pretty much anything
egos have low OPERATING pressure, that doesnt mean they run better on a Low pressure preset input pressure.

angel miniregs are desinged to only deal with about 500psi tops. if you plug in an 850psi HP preset, youll have a job getting the velocity below 300fps on some.

you could always change the reg on the gun i guess.
