Help Us Down Under

Guys & Gals,

You may or May not be aware of the plight that our fellow paint-ballers are facing in Australia…

The laws that surround Paintball are stopping the sport from expanding at the rate in which it should in conjunction with the rest of the world, here are some of the things that are restricting the sport at the moment…

1. All paintball markers are classed as Category A firearms
2. You need a firearms license to operate/own a paintball marker
3. In some of the states the whole sport is illegal
4. In some states you cannot keep your marker at home, it must be kept at the local field.
5. In some states semi-auto markers are illegal
6. You CANNOT import any semi-auto markers into anywhere in Australia, no Shockers, No impulses, No Angels, No cockers… Not even Tippmans….
7. If you already have a semi-auto (even if bought in Aus) you cannot take it from the country and bring it back in!
8. No visiting Players from other countries can bring in Semi-auto markers for tournaments…
9. and more…

These laws manly exist due to events that happened years ago and the knowledge of paintball to the authorities being very limited…

There are many people working hard to change some of these laws and to try and bring paintball to the next level in the country and allow teams to travel to and from Australia to play outside country events, but we need your help… Not money but just your support and there is a simple way you can help…

There is an organization called the ANPF and it is FREE to join, it will cost you nothing except two minutes of your time to fill out the on line form, You will receive a quarterly newsletter on the progress of the group and your information is kept totally confidential and will only be used to send you your newsletter…

This way we can show the Attorney General and the authorities that the whole world is in support of the changes necessary to build paintball in Australia and ultimately build the sport of paintball Globally. Anyone can join, brothers, sisters, mothers anyone who feels that paintball should be available for everyone to play…
