Hi just recieved my first electronic marker (smart parts impulse) today. I bought it second hand off the classifieds. Now the problem is when I've put my pmi alimimum 3000 psi 1.1litre air bottle on, then turn on the on/off the pressure gauge on the marker continually goes up and up until I can hear hissing coming from the bottom of the regulator. I've turned down the regulator as far as it will go and its still creeping up. If I fire a shot the gauge goes to 0 and no air is getting through at all. I thought I might try and clean the regulator but I cant unscrew the alan key screws. Any ideas.

Does your imp have a vert regualtor? Have you backed this all the way out (usually from the bottom) then tried screwing it in slowly?

vert maxflo. I've tried backing it all the way. when screwing it back in slowly sometimes the pressure comes back and keeps on coming until it hisses but most of the time when I tried theres nothing until I take the bottle off then put it back on. Turning marker off turning the air on/off. I've been very careful to follow the book.

I'd go for lubing the regulator then. Not too difficult to do dpending on which one you have.

yes I have a pic but not a good one. I also dont know how to post them. Do you have any Idea on how to remove the alan key screws are they put in with lock tight. The cert reg is the same one thats on the impulse manual. Also this might be a stupid question but could it be the air bottle. I seem to recollect hearing somewhere that your supposed to use a nitro duck. Now the unthreaded tip of a PMI is Longer than the Nitro duck. Just a thought.

okay managed to figure out how to get the reg off and the problem is that the seat base and O-ring is missing. Contacted smartparts and they are send the parts costing £5
