Help on e mail notification on p8 baller

Ok has any one else stopped recieving E Mails telling them they have replies to posts ? I have stopped getting pm / E Mails 3 weeks ago ? I have checked my user settings they are all ok to recieve the confirmation mails etc . Mods can you help . I have spoken to Andy Piper hes got the same problem too.

Weird, P8 notification has started working again after the last 2 days not getting messages - where's Mulder???

baca if it helps your tech geeks, jud is using aol.....i had spotted on pbnation that they had posted something about aol deleteing email notifications....i forward that to jud and he checked it out but didnt seem to help but it might be worth looking into????

Could be, AOL has some very restrictive filters in place for non-AOL system transmissions and they are a real hassle to modify but it can be done. However, only by the user or tech assist at AOL--not from the outside.

The tech monkeys say the following:

What they have effectively done is blocked the p8ntballer server from sending out the auto notification & pm emails to anyone who has registered on the board with an AOL email address.

The only thing our users can do is to get an alternative email account such as hotmail and use that for the forum.

I have sent an email to AOL's spam hotline and am still waiting a response from them. (I will forward that email to you for your reference).

I have also sent the p8ntballer webhost an email to see if they can put some weight into this.<

We'll let you know what happens next...
