Okay heres the deal I can either get a spyder for 145 or I can get a Parahna for 165 and I don't know which is better, I have read both reviews and I still can not decide:confused:

If owners of the gun or anyone for that matter could help me throuhg this dilema it would be helpful

thank you

Hey man dont listen to that guy.A Piranah is a peice of crap. The striker goes out on the gun after about 2 months of use or alittle more and you cant fix that you just have to keep buying new strikers. The piranah takes spyder parts.... and the spyder is more dependable.Ive had one for 4 years and it just whent out on me finaly.I have had a cocker for the past year though, but a friend of mine has a piranah and i have a spyder..and well he hates his piranah and i hate it to , it just sucks. All of the rec ballers that come out to the feild have problems 24/7 with the piranah's.Dont buy one of them just buy the spyder.

Uh, interestingly enough that's EXACTLY what is said with the Spyders going wrong, in addition to the classic "spyder jam" that happens where a ball is chopped and lodged between the bolt face and the inside front of the body. When I ref rec games I see that and have to repair it CONSTANTLY.

For the benefit of your buddies, yourself, and the kind souls that repair guns on and off the field, STAY AWAY FROM SPYDERS. Get a Piranha or Tippmann 98, both of which are quite reputable and see few to no problems.

Out of all the years that ive played spyders gave the least problems. Its just the new spyders like the TL's and shutters and extra's that have been giveing problems. But the Compacts and spyder ones are great guns, setting aside that you need to upgrade it alot to make it have better performance. But the guy just said he has 2 choices a spyder or a piranah he never said anything about a tippmann.I never had any problems beside normal problems like breaking a few balls each few months here and there and that the gun after 4 years of abuse and hard useing it finaly whent down........my friend just got his piranah 3 months ago and bam its already not working.

Go for the Tippman M98 Custom. It is a great reliable gun that will last forever. There are also a few really neat kits to upgrade with. Personally, I would get a Dye Boomstick as soon as possible. I hope this helped.

Okay you asked for it. I have two spyders and my son has two piranahs. I've changed out every peice on my SE, not because I had to but to increase performance. The only stock things left are the trigger and body. The 2k spyder is stock except for the grip from the SE. Neither marker has ever seen any down time. The bad side is they are meteric threads so if you change anything you end up changing a lot. My son swears by his piranahs but I've had to change out his sear on one and replace his v/a on the other. But they are standard threads and the bottom line holes are inline not off set line the spyders. Both are good markers to begin with and as long as you don't get caught in the upgrade frenzy(save that for when you get a cocker) should do you fine. Just go with the one you like the best. Be it looks or feel. Good luck.

if i were you i wiuld go for the inferno t3. its about 50$ more, and if thats too much go for the inferno rec.
they are both vert feed, nice triggers and very, very reliable.
i had a spyder and it was a piece of rubbish. stick with an inferno.

Deciding on a gun

I bought my wife a piranha for mothers day so that we could do something together. I have worked on Spyders, Tippmann 98 (my own), and Piranha's and I have been most impressed by the Piranha. Dealing in a stock situation I find the Piranha to be more accurate, reliable, and durable (when respected). I would go with a Piranha over a Spyder due to better QA and building practices.
