Help Ive Done a silly thing!

Hi guys and gals,

I am the proud owner of a Spyder that is a nice little gun but I have just bought a Brass Eagle Silver Raptor from eBay (it was only £40) but when I got it I noticed that the previous owner had not cleaned it very well and it was full of paint!

So I stripped the gun (in the same way I do my Spyder) and cleaned off all of the pieces and then put it back together again.

At this point you may be thinking "ok sounds about right"

However

Since I re-assembled it whenever I attach the CO2 and turn on the flow all I get is hssssssss as the gass just passes straight through the marker.

The gun has no bottom line the CO2 just attaches to the gun.

Any ideas what has gone wrong and how I could fix it?

sounds like you may need to replace one or more of your O-rings.
That should fix it. If not try retightening everything, you make have not put your gun back together right.

valve?

my spyder used to do it sounds like your valve is worn or the seals on it are shafted try new seals on the valve if not replace valve hope this helps

Cheers guys, ill try changing the o-rings and ill double check the assembly against the diagram on the Brass Eagle website, if that does not work I'll try getting a new valve. Hopefully tho its just the o-ring seals.

Any other suggestions??

Maybe youve placed the Valve in the wrong direction?

I have managed to get the marker working again, Just one last question tho.

If when the gas is attached and the flow is turned on the hammer rattles from cocked to uncocked upon pressing the trigger, making a kind of machine gun noise instead of re-cocking is that just because the CO2 canister is nearly empty?

Yep, sounds like you are out of CO2. Not enough pressure to recock the gun so instead of catching on the sear the bolt just shoots backwards and forwards. Alternatively the sear may be worn.

Well I thought I knew what all of the inside workings were called but you just threw one at me that I have not got a clue on. Which part is the sear??

If you take off the grip frame you will see the sear. Its the bit that goes up and down each time you pull the trigger.
