Hey buddy.

I'm also fairly new to this but £200-£300 will get u a sweet 2nd hand Ego or Etek.
They are pretty solid and lightweight with good ratebof fire and range.

Dont worry about power as most sites will get u to chronograph your gun to 280fps (feet per second) and all gun are capable of well over this.

As I'm always being told, ask nicely if u can tryout someones gun at an event and ask around.

hopper wise the empire prophecy, halo and Invert too have been recommended to me.

Hello im also fairly new lol, but id say it all depends on the style of gameplay you prefer for example woodsball/scenario, speedball etc and how much paint you plan on using as it can add up quite quickly
id say u often see mechanical guns such as BT4 , tippmann etc in woodsball/scenario as you tend to use a lower rate of fire and they are more reliable for the conditions that you play in.
and for speed ball no doubt everyone will be using electric markers such as etek, invert mini, as they have a much higher rate of fire and more compact and lighter and can easily get through a hopper of paintball's in 20 seconds.

but like aj47 said you are restricted to 280fps so its up to how fast you want to spend your paint ;P

i would say if you could get your hands on a etek or ego your sorted as they are very light nice to shoot and easy to clean

dont know if that was of any use but i think i was just ranting on :D lol

all depends what you are doing if you go to a site they will provide you with the right paint weather it be summer or winter, it may be of no use but during in the winter ive used diablo formula 13 and never had any breaks other than when i fell over lol and at the moment i think im using foundation paintballs cant remember, all depends when your playing when its cold or when its hot but most paint willl be about £30-£40 a box(2000) so there is a little price difference but it can add up,on site you can usually get it cheaper i found and they usually have the right paint. personally formula 13 is very good and at the moment im not to sure about the ones im using now.
