Help! Help! Is Piranha Evo A Good Starter Marker?

that marker? i honestly dont know dude, but ive seen some of your posts and i was thinking perhaps an impulse set up would be right up your street. Some of the guys have them for sale and usually with gas and hopper, they are nice guns, and at the right price are perfect for starters, they dont get easily outshot .

Ask around and do your research before jumping in though!

To be honest I had a lot of problems with the pirhanna i had. A bad experience. I wouldn't go back to them after that experience. I honestly haven't tried this marker though. Just be sure to try before you buy if you can.

what model and what problems did you have

I think it was a pirhanna G2 EXT. Not an evo one. I had problems with the velocity. Every shot, after the velocity being turned in every possible position, wouldn't go far at all. It was rubbish, the only way to eliminate someone was from close range, which even then brought a long some bounces. Which then brings in the next problem. After about every 2 or 3 shots the bolt would go and stay in. I'd have to pull it back out, which was a tough job as it was soo stiff, and then be able to fire again.

I've seen the evo, and they aren't bad for the money.

However I think you may be better off picking up a second hand impulse or older angel. In the long run probably a better bet, higher performance and more upgrade options.

With the Angel you will need air which ups the cost a bit, not that much if you go for a cheap 3000 psi screw in.

IMO, The Piranha EVO's are wicked guns for the money. They are capable of 15+ balls a second and have ACE..

LiQUiD, try not to condem a whole range of markers because you had a problem with a poorly set up 2002 model
