Hi

Ok looking to book the Quake sters in to the Max masters

Would really appreciate peeps past experiences of this event, hotels they've used (and would reccomend) and also general help and advice on booking a team in to such an event.

this is all good tho, believe this event is in Bitburg. is this an arena or just a site somewhere?

i organised the portsmouth uni teams trip last year and help organise it this year. there are 2 hotel that are recommended as they are a few mins walk from the site (sportschule and eifelstern - see mas masters website for contact details)

as i know quake is very young hiring cars may be difficult (you need to be 21 with 3 years experience - to hire in europe). the cheapest airport is Hahn (about 80km away from the site). flights cost about £40-50 return from stansted.

flights are fairly cheap but only go out twice a day so i recommed driving (from portsmouth about 1200 round trip) the ferry for a 9seater ford tourneo is £130ish and a car is about £100ish. and fuel will be about £100 for disiel.

with paint, fuel, entry, hotel, ferry you will be looking at about £250-300 per person all in. to flu you are looking at £350-400.

remember unless you have D1 or D on your driving licence and a tachograph you can not drive a vehicle with more that 9 people (inc driver) in it.

oh yeah a.b.

shoulda just told u to ask rich cause he's doing it again this year for the second or third time.

if u guys are driving and only 7 of u are going i would love to come along as a pot bitch spectator if thats possible have asked pompey uni but no room in there cars lolthey got 2 cars and 8/9 people going already.

anyway is only an idea and will not be offended if u say no.

The area last year was awful, its held on an American Air force base cos of paintball laws in Germany. The area is dead at night as well, it must be where they relocated all the boring German people after the Berlin Wall came down

The event though was great, the site was good, and what i liked especially was that there was an electronic scoreboard in the players set up area that was on a huge screen and was updated every 2 or so minutes, let everyone know who was doing well, etc... shame none of the other events had it

I think it's a new site this year Sam, apparently it is a Sports training ground, or is this just the new use of the US Airforce base?

the sports training ground is in the AFB. it is the same site as last year
