Hi guys and gals, just had a random thought earlier that i would like to start doing a bit of paintballing, i would be doing it around my wood with a mate or 2 and theres also a paintballing place a few miles up the road from me

i would like to know what are the bare essentials for paintballing and some reccomendations of low cost markers, masks etc. also where can you get the co2 bottles filled up?

Regards, Paul

Bare essentials for paintballing is - don't play in your wood with a mate or two.

For a whole hat full or reasons, its better to go to a local site who run what are called 'walk-ons'. They are cheap, safe, insured and run by professionals.

To find your local walk-on venue, post up in this forum where you live and someone will let you know where the closest walk-on site to you is.

Hope this helps

Playing in a wood with your mates will only lead down one road...

A helicopter overhead, sirens and screeching tires. Closely followed by shouts of "STOP ! Armed police"

...by the way, those guys use real bullets and head shots do count.

Go to a well established site as advised above, safety is paramount. Both yours and everybody else's.

Well first and foremost, you need to all have a good set of goggles. Dont buy cheap ones though as you will be disappointed. Its the most important part of your equipment.

As for guns, there is a myriad of choice these days from £100 second hand guns, £200 entry level markers, £400ish mid priced markers all the way up to £1000+ for top end stuff. What is your budget, and how often will you play?

As for it being your own woods, its likely everything will be fine, thats great, but at your local walk on they will have setups like Attack and Defend or speedball arenas etc. And all the c02 will be on site. Plus the added bonus of more people to shoot at :)
