Well to start off, I've started playing a few times at local places and looking to do it every weekend I can, so I am looking to start buying myself some stuff.

Now I have been looking for stuff for a couple of days now (for hours) and I have no idea what Hopper/Marker to get, looking at loads of reviews and on websites its a bit crazy when your not really sure what your looking for. Now I'm looking for a all-rounder that would be good for a good while, that I can upgrade in the future.

What I am thinking of going for is

Mask - V-Force Profiler
Tank - (Actually I have no idea, I heard 4500 are very good, but they seem quite steep for a first time user, and are you able to use your own at most centres? I've only been to Delta Force and they don't allow you to bring your own at all, so would it be even worth it for now? and could you recommend me a good one at a reasonable price if so?)
Barrel - Apex

I've been looking in the sale section quite a bit, but I don't want to end up buying something I'll regret so I thought I'll ask for recommendations.

At the moment I'm looking to spend around £250, would that even get me anywhere? ^^

Sorry if you have heard all this before, and thanks.

I'm going to get some sleep now.

Welcome to the forums mate.

First off, where are you based? First thing is to get a good thermal mask, your enjoyment of the game will go up ten fold when you can see all the way through a game! I'd go for either JT Flex, E-vents, Dye i4s or Grillz......try them all on and see what fits best.

I wouldn't rush into buying a marker just yet. You need to get to a good local walkon and have a look at what people are shooting. Ask to try out their marker for a few shots on the range, ask a few questions and then make up your mind. Was it more of a scenario type marker you were after? Do you think you'll be playing Sup'Air in the future?

hey and welcome

the first thing u really want to get a good set of goggles not only for your enjoyment as you will be able to see but for your safty, never scrimp on goggles, the makes recomended above are all tryed and tested worn by the top guys in this sport so you really cant go wrong.

Again with the marker u really need to decide what you will spend most of your time playing, be it sup'air or just in the woods, as that will be a major factor in gun purchase, a lot of the "high end" markers you see in the for sale section will last you for years so long as properly looked after, air tanks can be a little steep but are worth the money, all depending on what and where you play, just feel free to post up any questions mate and im sure there will be someone who will answer you questions

starter set up =)

hey i noticed you got 250 to spend and not to sure what you want to buy.

first is your mask get a second hand jt proflex, events, dye i4s or i3s, anything along those lines sell for fairly cheap and are really good.

second if you do want a market, i would consider an ego 05, 06 you will be looking to spend around £100-£180 for either of these. or dm5,6 or 7 again around £120-£200 great markers and will last for along time, just make sure the seller is 100% that it is in fully working order.

next bottles, there are two main types of bottles.. steely which means they are made of steal and fibre wraps, which means that the bottle is a wrap of fibre which hold your air, the steelys are much cheaper and i would reccomend a first time player like you to buy one, fibre wraps are very light and allmost all the time hold more air but they come at a price, normally around £50 more.

barrels - forget about barrels they dont really do much, wait untill you got other stuff first.

loader- you can pick up a number of loader for anwhere from £10-£120, i would reccomend a nice halo reloader if you want to spend around £20-£30 or a eggy 2 or 3 if your looking to spend £15-20

dont play at the likes of delta force to much, the paint is very very expensive and the equipment is normally low grade, plus they wont let you use your own gear there, try and find a local feild or sight which host walk-on days, this is basically a feild or venue which sells cheaper paint and you bring your own gear. anymore questions feel free to ask or pm me.

Thanks for the information all, for an update there is a centre near me that does walk-on's once a month that I'll most likely start going to, Skirmish Bristol I believe.
I've bought a few things - PMR SE, VL eye-force and Dye I3 pro's (came with thermals I believe) came to £150 and all in pristine condition which seems perdy reasonable.
Now I need a tank/another little bits and bobs. (if you have any recommendations feel free to tell me)

and again, Thanks.

dont forget your battle pack . . the thing that holds the spare pods .. also cleaning products such as squeegie and fluffy, these are only a few quid but vital for keeping the barrel clean and firing straight.

3k psi steel bottles can be had for about £40 and are fine.

most imporrtant after your mask is to make sure you got your barrel sock (not barrel plug).

Good luck have fun.
