That's a nice piece of history and deserves a prime spot in your collection.
Indeed, this is my second DYE and considering who the original owner (I'm the third) was it will definitely be one to hang on my wall! :D

bet that set you back a bit
Well, not really.. I got it for $330 which in my eyes is a steal.

Right ,Im thinking Bee Gees here ? ...
Yup yup, he played alot and as John mentioned he was a great advocate for the sport.
Some of his IR3s were sold on Angelowners a few years back.

I have fuzzy memories of Maurice Gibb at campaign. Must have been 2001.

I remember standing on the running track trying to look like we were his friends, but without him noticing.

He would greet our 'subtle' attempts with a welcoming smile.
But being shy kids back then we just ran off.

Ah paintball, was 2001 really the zenith of our sport?

As you can see it's in great condition all things considered, the only small grievance is that the seller didn't put a spring or cupseal in it before sending it. So when I made him aware of it he offered to sell it to me!!

Something else I found odd is that only some DYEs came with TI barrels and others with the regular SS.
Anyone know why?

Sadly I'm pretty sure you're spot on with that
