Ok, starting a new thread because I've made a purchase and now feel a bit sick!
I went for the hammerhead sniper kit for the phenom. Upgraded the widowmaker to a goldmember. Now I thought that would be great, it'd give me lots of barrel sizes to play about with and even the link to go 22 inches.
I started with the stock phenom barrel, took 3 shots at 50ft, nice grouping. Took 3 shots at 100ft, a bit more of a spread but still on target.
Next i measured a few balls, some were quite hard to push through the .686 sizer, so I went with the .690 fin just to be on the safe side. Screwed in the gold member and then it all started to go wrong. The first shot I took at 50ft broke the ball, and the next few shots had quite a large spread on them. I tried a few shots at 100ft and it was even worse, they flew off in all directions, one even hit the floor not 20ft from where I was shooting from!
So i'm now thinking that maybe the break has affected the accuracy, so swap out the goldmember for the battlestixx. 3 shots from 50ft wernt too bad, and again at 100ft wernt too bad, but the stock phenom barrel was still miles better at both ranges.
So now im thinking i've wasted £160 on a barrel kit thats nowhere near as good as the stock barrel. Has anyone else had this experience, or is there something im not doing right that could be the cause?

Make sure the barrel is clean. Any break/oil/paint/dirt in any barrel will make it swerve unpredictably. Also using cheap/old paint won't be as accurate if they are dimpled or mishapen.

i remember being told that turning your markers fps down helps, down to arround 215 odd. i always figured that the sniper kit was best with widowmaker linked with the battlestixx.
