Theres only one way it can go in
the right way.
The 2 tabs make it so it can go upside down, downside up, whatever....
Put it in so that the lower of the spring tabs contacts the clear plastic tab on the left hand side of it. This should leave the upper spring tab furthest left.
Take your drive cone and locate the tab on that. Put the drive cone onto the spindle/pole so that the tab sits to the left of the upper spring tab.
Put the screw back into the spindle but dont tighten. Now you rotate the drive cone clockwise until the drive cone tab meets the clear plastic tab (the upper spring tab will be inbetween) and lift the drive cone a slight bit so that the spring tab comes over the clear plastic tab. Tighten the screw and the drive cone should be tensioned when you turn it clockwise.
I hope that helps, alot of tabs but ive tried to differentiate between them in the simplest terms.
