well, on another thread, John c said that the original halo drive cone is good for upto 30bps without risk of breaking the tabs off as long as its calibrated to your gun properly.

my halo has broken 2 of the original drive cones now, leading me to believe that it may not be "calibrated" properly.

any chance of you or someone else enlightening me a little please john, or will the delrin drive cone im getting simplify matters?

i do tend to get a lot of breech / barrel breaks leading me to believe also that there is an underlying issue here! (ps paint isnt the problem before it gets mentioned tried loads of sorts, with similar issues)

ps, the halo is a standard z code halo with rip drive running off 6 AAs, could it be the v.high power rechargable AAs im using be causing issues? (2500mAh)

yeh mb, the thing that leads me to believe that there is somthing in what john said is that the last Halo i had (same z code board etc) never gave me any problems what so ever, yet this one seems to be on steroids!

answer 1, halo take 6 batteries, dont have a 4 battery cradle, so NO!
answer 2, NO!
answer 3, Yes, why not, and yes i know that you are goona say it alters the location of the balls in the stack, which in turn affects the eyes, but i cant see it being that, seen loads of other halos on egos sitting the same, and they didnt seem to be having problems

i mentioned this last time and John pointed out that it may or may not work on different halos - but it did however help me out when i had this kind of problem -

if you check where the pot is set to on the board (grey circular thing with the arrow on it )- it should be set to the 9 oclock position and it may improve matters if you back it off very slightly .

yeh, i tried backing mine off to about 8 o'clock like suggested but that made the halo 'pulse' constantly for want of a better word! it kept juddering back and to, constantly trying to feed, would turning it towards 10 o'clock possibly make a difference?
