It's a small spring. Sits next to the anti-jam beads.

The spring is missing,ordered 2day,will it be ok on sunday

I've ran one halo without a spring there for two years without an issue.

I'm sure it's meant for something though

good point, what IS it there for? Is it just to get the balls to settle down before they get to the anti-jam beads and the feed tube?

After the beads have settled them down...it helps to stop balls riding up over the next in line, like a tight skirt on a fat arse.
