Hi guys,

To set the scene, I've just bought a Halo off the Classifieds and took it woodsballing today, but have a problem which I need some help with.

At this site you keep hold of the hoppers in the safe zone and attach them to your marker as you go out for a game. So prior to the first game I loaded it up with paint (not crammed in, but not far off full) and attached it to my Ion.

When I switched the hopper on, it started feeding balls down the feedtube as normal but when it was not able to fit any more through (i.e. the feedtube was full and there was a ball in the breach) it stopped feeding balls and the LED starting flashing red/green, as if to indicate a jam. It would no longer feed until I either restarted it or turned the rip-drive. However, when testing it by unloading it into a pod it worked fine.

I'm probably missing something simple here, but I don't see why it considers it a jam when it cannot feed anymore :s Whenever the Halo is on but you aren't firing the marker.

Any help is appreciated - I'm not so good with Halo's and haven't mustered the courage to attempt a disassembly yet ;)

Cheers,

-Will

you should turn the hopper on and then fill it, that way jams won't happen. not sure if it would work alright when you turn it off and on again but if it doesnt try turning the rip drive the opposite way

Fish: Batteries are pretty much new, and the low battery indicator stays off.

Cusack: That would work, but what about between games? I'll switch it off after a game, still with paintballs in it, the it'll jam again when I go to switch it on for the next game.

Cheers,

It would work mate. The stack in the feedneck would be maintained wouldnt it? that way when u turned it on again, it wouldnt need to feed anything thru - therefore no jamming :)

I just gave it a try, doing the following in order:

1) Turning the Halo on
2) Pouring a pod of paint in, whilst keeping my finger over the end of the feedneck
3) When it got the full amount in the feedneck, it tried to turn the wheel to fit more in but gave up and showed the jam indicator.
4) I then turned it off and on again and it did exactly the same :s

Am I doing something wrong?

Cheers,

-Will
