ok well i bought a halo of gibbsey, and well when i pluged the batterys in the drive cone just started spinning like mad so i quickly unpluged it not to burn the motor out.

i have contacted him and we have something sorted out so dont go saying you should contact the seller. Well as i cant see him till training on 15th i would like to no if any one has incountered this? and knows a way that i can fix it? I Thought

A: board broken or somthing wrong with it

B: on/off button stuck on

C: bad batterys

well i have striped it down and the on/off button is not stuck on, i have tried 3 pairs of eyes and used brand new energiser batterys. i will also say that i was NOT turning it on, i was just conecting the batterys for it to spin.

Any help?

It cant really be the button or batteries.

Are you plugging the battery connectors in the right way round? IE is the battery/motor header connected to the right connector on the board? And is it the right way up?

Are there any parts of the wiring loom that look shorted or damaged??

If not then it must be a broken board...

ok you say its halo plug it back in and stick your finger up the neck of the race way does it stop spinning, if does stop its ok thats how it work, it just the eyes looking for paint.if it doesn't stop you have a problem with the board or eyes if you have more than one set of eyes try changing if the problem is still there its defo the board.
hope that makes sense

Yeah thats right I think.
You can tell which one is for the batteries and motor because the tracks on the board going to the connector are quite fat.

You plug in the connectors with the open side up. So you can see the crimps from the top through the square holes in the crimp housing.

Hope that helps.
