Halo cut down feed neck

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you should cut the blue (inner) tube longer or shorter than the shells to help feeding. Unfortunately i can't remember where i read it!!!
 
As standard the feedneck is the correct length so that the eyes in the halo see the face of a ball in the stack at rest.

If you cut down your feedneck so that the eyes line up with the gap between two balls at rest you may hit problems.

If you lower (or raise) the hopper by the exact height of a paintball(or close to), then you should be fine.
