Halo cone spring help

Just a quick question - mainly to see it it happens to anybody else but my cone spring keeps unloading when the spring is slammed - is this normal?

Also does anybody know where i can get a cone screw from??

Is the spring tab broken off of the cone? or maybe you just have to reload the spring.

tabs fine - i jus need to keep reloading it when i pull it back a bit and slam it - i kno its not sometimes that occurs often but its a real pain in the ass

I had a halo that did that sometimes, I just turned the spring over & reloaded it...problem was fixed. May not be the answer to your problem, but worth a try. Good luck.

Out of curoisity did you buy a rip drive kit separatly and fit it urself? I had the exact same problem. I found that the shaft was slight too long and so the cone could move up and down slightly which meant that the spring would mis catch. What i did was sand down the shaft a little bit and then the screw was a good fit.

Firstly tighten the screw as far as it will go then see if thers any movement. If so then you probably have the same problem i had.

lol yep. still pondering about where it goes to this very day. The manual doesn't say so i assume you dont need it.
