Halo B ???

My halo b that i brought second hand is pulsing. now is it supposed to do that?

I have eliminated the batteries. they are fine.

does it have modes or should i just be a continuos feed

yh but trying to feed it into a pod so there is no resistance. and it is sort of struggling. it is a pulsing mode sort of thing!

What pulses, the light or the speed of the hopper?

If the light at the front is pulsing green/red it would indicate a jam or more likely the eyes are dirty. The eyes detect a ball and stop feeding, no ball and it feeds. Remove eyes and clean.

If its the speed of the hopper this could be one of a couple of things, a dodgy motor or and obstruction somewhere causing the parts to catch, slow, then speed up again.....strip down and clean.

If you stick a finger up elbow does it shut off or keep feeding? It should stop - if not eyes are dirty or knackered. The halo B has anti jam software - if feed cone gets stuck it'll pulse (turn motor on/off) 3 times, before shutting down and flashing green/red LED to indicate a jam. The spring on the drive cone is what controls the force feed - not the software AFAIK.

This is for standard board - aftermarket have more options

Pulsing when empty or not under load (i.e. on a gun) is normal with the Z-Code software. It's fine. Put it on your gun and go play.

My halo b with v35 victory does kinda the same so i know what you meen, i have seen a few halos do this and i have seen the same hoppers feed 30+ bps with the same board in, i wouldnt have bothered buying a new 1, if you tryied stripping it, it may have sorted the problem out, when there is no resistance (dry running it) they all seem to hit a dead spot, i thopught it may have missed a tooth or somthing but it happens after like 6 turns, no idea why but i ramped mine and emptied a full hopper in about 3 secs so its nothing to worry about
