Well, I just got my Halo B through today from sebcoe18 (Cheers mate), so I'm very happy that I no longer have to borrow a mate's hopper, as I'm sure he is too.

I have been using a Reloader B in my ION (With Q-Lock Feedneck) and it's been perfect, however when I try and fit the Halo B into my Q-Lock, even with the little locking arm fully removed, it is VERY tight. So tight that once it's in, I can unscrew the Q-Lock using the Halo B. Infact, I can't actually remove the loader from the Q-Lock without spending ages forcing it off. So currently I am just unscrewing the Q-Lock to remove the loader, which isn't the best idea if I want to keep my threads in good condition.

So what should I do ? Get the sandpaper out or is there a better way of fixing it ?

Also, I have my ION set to ramp upto 20BPS (I don't play in tornies, so no need for a 15BPS cap), and my Halo B has a V35 board. The speed settings that it can take are: 17, 21, 24, 28, 32, 35. Should I use 21BPS or should I set it to 24BPS so I have a bit of an overhead ?

Cheers,
-Andrew.

24+ mate, i usualy have my reloader B on high regardless of how fast i intend to shoot.

I had a similar problem, you can sand down your feedneck (thats why they make em so thick)> the only thing i say to watch out for is when you sand it do it as even as possible. Oh and be patient! A CCM feedneck holds an unsanded halo and can clamp it tight so you could consider a different feedneck?

I guess I could change the feedneck but it's all money mate, I already have a Q-Lock so I may aswell use it and just sand down the Halo a bit. I suppose if I do it wrong the worse that will happen is I'll need a new shell, which I wanted one of them shells that open from the top for cleaning anyway.

Just wondering, how are other feednecks any better than the Q-Lock, other than being wider ? I may change if there's a good enoguh reason to. Hmm.

Cheers.

Just a note: the hybrid suicide shell have a thinner feedneck so may solve your problem.

Ah, that would explain why the Reloader B I was borrowing worked fine !!

Cheers then, I'll just sand this and get one of them shells ASAP. :D

You can get lever lock feednecks quite cheap that actually work properly (try www.fbmfactory.com).

So it doesnt matter how fat your loaders feedneck is, it will always go from very loose to rock solid at the flick of a lever.

Hmm, I might get one of them soon. The Impulse one is the one that I need for my ION, right ?

Also is their shipping right, $6 to ship to the UK ??

I'd quite like a new frame from then, but oh well that will have to wait. :p

Cheers.
